Dr Hilton Kaplan is a Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist in Claremont, Cape Town and consultant to the Chrysalis Obesity Clinic.

• Accredited Insulin Pump Centre.
• Active over many years running a clinical trial centre and is GCP (Good Clinical Practice) accredited.
• Member of the Board of Directors FACULTY OF CONSULTING PHYSICIANS OF SOUTH AFRICA (FCPSA)
• Member of SEMDSA (Society of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes South Africa)
• Member of the South African Clinical Endocrinologist Subgroup of SEMDSA
• Member of South African Hypertension Society, LASSA (Lipid and Atherosclerosis Society South Africa), SASSO (South Africa Obesity Society), LIFEWORKS (Disability and Insurance Network)
• Consultant physician to the Western Cape Child Welfare Adoption Board.
• Has served on numerous Pharmaceutical Product Advisory Boards in South Africa.
• Member on the Diabetes Education Advisory Panel, Johnson and Johnson Diabetes Education Institute, Paris (2008).
• Regularly attends National and International Conferences and is actively involved locally in Continuing Medical Education, lecturing extensively and holding workshops and symposia on various topics especially in the field of Diabetes.
